I have used this product before with very good results fixing broken points on whitetail deer. This time I bought a larger kit because a big bull elk I shot last fall had a broken off brow tine. The horns are on a skull mount and I decided to try and fix the broken antler. It really worked very well. This was a much larger job than a point on a whitetail because the tine was snapped off at the base. I used three wires that were about 18 inches long and drilled them into the antler base and then glued them with epoxy glue. I then made a frame by weaving the wire together. The compound comes in two jars and you mix it together to activate the hardening. I shaped the new antler around the frame. A little trimming the next day with my Dremel and it looked great. I used acrylic paint to finish the job with three coats mixing ivory, burnt sienna, and burnt umber at different points in each coat. It looks totally natural. The product is easy to work with and clean up. It comes with latex paint, but I like acrylic better…
